Weather Considerations
The weather in the desert depends on the time of year you are going. For our trip in May it was cold in the mornings and nights, and very hot during the day. If you go June – September it can be brutally hot.
We were fortunate with weather and had sunny skies the whole time. However, you have to be very aware of any rains within 20 miles of where you are especially when hiking The Narrows at Zion National Park, or going to Antelope Canyon. Flash floods are very dangerous and common when it rains in these areas. Check with local rangers at Zion or with the tour company at Antelope Canyon for safety if inclimate weather is in the area.
