Visiting Old Faithful

Old Faithful is located inside Yellowstone National Park. It is roughly 1.5 hrs to drive from Lizard Creek Campground to Old Faithful and there will be a line of cars to follow throughout the park. There are two waterfalls you can stop at on your way to break up the drive, Lewis Falls & Mystic Falls.

There is a free large parking lot that is only a short walk to Old Faithful. As you approach the geyser  there will be a sign stating when the expected next eruption will be. If you have time to kill, go into the gift shop and but a souvenir or take a walk over to the hotel and have a look around inside.

After the show, take a walk to the backside of the geyser to see some of the cool formations and pools. Don’t touch the water in the pools.
